L'As du Falafel

Wine and water bottles:

wine

Melissa and I made sure to check out L’As du Falafel for dinner one night.  This restaurant is supposedly the best falafel place in Paris – and we weren’t disappointed. It’s located on therue des Rosiers, one of the remaining Jewish streets in the historically Jewish Marais quartier.  L’As offers sandwiches to go, but we decided to take a seat in the restaurant area to enjoy our dinner.  The restaurant is a quirky blend of sandwich shop and real restaurant.  Melissa, who enjoyed a beef sandwich, only got plastic silverware while I dug into my (massive) falafel platter with a metal fork and knife.  We also experimented with some Israeli wine, which was tasty as well.  As had become typical with our forays into Parisian gastronomie, we left the restaurant completely stuffed.  So if you find yourself in the area with a big appetite, be sure to check out this restaurant that Lenny Kravitz supposedly claims as his favorite!
