Getting WebWorks to Talk with FrameMaker 6

If you used to convert FrameMaker 5.5 books to HTML and you have upgraded to FrameMaker 6.0, then you'll need to perform a few short fixes in order to use WebWorks 2000. Prior to making these fixes, close FrameMaker and WebWorks. The fix is a three-step process:

  1. Install a DLL.
  2. Edit maker.ini
  3. Edit webworks.ini

Step 1: Install a DLL

Download the DLL named wwpfm6.dll. Copy this file to the following folder:

(The preceding pathname assumes that you installed WebWorks on your C drive.)

Step 2: Edit maker.ini

Using NOTEPAD, edit the maker.ini file, which is probably at the following pathname:

This file is divided into several sections. Find the [APIClients] section. Add the following line to the end of this section:

Step 3: Edit webworks.ini

Using NOTEPAD, edit the webworks.ini file, which is at the following pathname:
