From time to time, you'll need to move files between your local disk drive and the vast Open Market corporate UNIX network. The best way to do this is to map a Windows drive to your UNIX login directory.

Windows Explorer will pause for a few seconds and try to establish the connection. If the connection is made, the dialogue box disappears. If Windows Explorer cannot make the connection, some generally unhelpful error message appears and you get a chance to try again. Sometimes you have to try five, six, seven times before a connection can be made. Other times, just give up and wait until the net storm has subsided.
