Big sis/lil’ sis program
The Big Sis/Lil’ Sis program is a program in which freshmen are paired up with upperclassmen in order to make their adjustment to MIT easier by providing them with a big sister. The goal of the whole program is to hopefully develop life-long friendships.
This year we decided to pair up the siblings a bit differently. In previous years, we, the Big Sis/Lil’ Sis chairs, have had to pair up siblings according to common interests. After talking to some littles, we found out that the pairs were sometimes mismatched. In an effort to make the pairing process better, we thought we’d let the big sis’s pair themselves up by reading the lil’ sis’s questionnaires (which you will fill out).
To give you an idea of what kind of events we hold, last year we held a “sleepover” event and a picnic. We always want suggestions, so don’t be shy in making any!
