• Born in 1978 in Asturias (Spain)

• 1996-2001: Studies of Chemical Engineering at the University of Oviedo

• 2000-2001: Exchange Student at the University of Stuttgart. Diploma Thesis at the Institute of Biochemical Engineering entitled ' Computer Aided Set-up and Analysis of Dynamic Signalling Networks: The TGF-beta Signal Transduction in Eukaryotic Systems'

• October 2001- January 2002: Assistant at the Institute of Biochemical Engineering, University of Stuttgart
