I generally recommend taking 81 across PA to save a bit of time, but never having actually driven it myself, it's up to you whether you take that or 95. In either case, you get on 70 West. (Towards Hancock.) If you do this via 95 it involves using the 695 Beltway outerloop around Baltimore. Not the one with the bridge. At Hancock you change to 68 (west? towards Cumberland and the big hole in the mountain at least.) This is a left lane exit. You leave 68 when you reach 219 SOUTH. (Don't be confused if you find 219 North ages ahead of 219 South.) 219 s. takes you all the way to Deep Creek Lake. You'll cross over a bridge and start following the shoreline. At this point you should wake up anyone in the car who has been there before to help recognize landmarks. The larger Maryland map has a picture representation of this - at this point start referring to the smaller, zoomed in map. Turn left on Glendale Bridge Road. This is immediately after the deli and alpine inn (also on your left.) If the road seems to split on you, take the left hand option. (But not so left that you wind up at the Silver Tree Inn.) Cross the newly constructed (and now two whole lanes!) bridge and turn left onto State Park Road. This is the road the house is on, if you reach another bridge you've gone too far. Our house (possibly the 13th on the right) is a brown A-frame with a white cement first level and two balconies. It's one of the first houses you'll hit where you could fit a large number of cars on the grassy area to your right (well, before you started hitting trees and benches and swingsets that is.) Our neighbors immediately after us had up short white-chain fences last week, so there's another clue. Hope some of this proves useful! donnnnnnna The number at Deep Creek: (310) 387-5819 Total distance: ~600 miles
