Photos from Boston and thereabouts
From our new house:
The original sets
of house photos.
Some slightly newer but still old house photos.
One of the painting sprees. I've painted most
of the house now but still have a few miscellaneous
spaces to do. I forget
how much work we've put into the house, so it's good to occasionally
remind
myself by looking at these old photos. Here's the downstairs kitchen after some
remodeling, with new
counters and a dishwasher.
May and July 2009
in the yard.
April 2008 and May 2008
in the yard, over several days.
This year it has started to feel like
all
my work in the yard over the past 2-3 years is paying off. I'm not sure
the
photos capture the springlike feeling of growth and brightness well.
And in the height of summer.
Here is fall in 2008.
The yard in the fall of 2007.
The yard in April 2007, soon after
planting the bamboo and huckleberries I brought
back from Oregon.
The yard at the new house in spring 2006,
under construction, and in June, with
more
things in bloom. Also includes Bridget the cat in the grape
arbor, my slightly sad vegetable
patch, and the tiny front yard.
Several photos from late July and early August.
One of my few
tomatoes this year. And my jack-o-lantern.
From my old garden at PFOP:
The tulips in spring '05,
early May '04 and
early Sept '04
The PFOP garden was most
impressive in spring when the tulips were blooming,
but the Sept ones
include several plants I grew from seed and thus was proud of.
And some less well labeled garden and PFOP ones, mostly older.
Jer in a rock at Purgatory Chasm.
A couple so-so photos of our cats: Ivy
(1, 2) and Zoe
(1, 2,
3.)
My current collection of pottery pieces. They're of
varying size and regularity.
The USS Constitution, on New Year's Eve.
From the Boston harbor, on
the way to one of the harbor islands, (but none actually on the
island.)
