The prerequisite for this course is a one-semester introduction to quantum physics similar to 8.04 as it has been taught for the past several years. In addition, we will use ideas developed in previous courses in the physics departmental program including 8.03, 8.033, and 8.044. Familiarity with Differential Equations (18.03) and especially Linear Algebra (18.06) will be very helpful.
