About
"I always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific." Who am I? Philosophers have been asking this question for ages, though usually not about me, per se. Well, anyway, I'm Kayla Jacobs, and I made my entrance into the world (squalling) in November 1985. After a decade of living in Philadelphia, I moved to Israel due to parental mid-life crises, where, after some rather traumatic forays in the Israeli public school system, I ended up at the glorious Walworth Barbour American International School in Israel. AIS was wonderful, but who could know that the Massachusetts Institute of Technology would be even better? Now, some people may say that I'm bit pro-MIT, but I have been known to have entire conversations in which I only mention once how much I love this place. Currently, I'm an overenthusiastic undergaduate (physics is fun! And so is math!). At this point, academics are my primary concern, but there are plenty of other things of interest. I like to move around a lot, it seems, and have made my humble abode variously at McCormick Hall, on 1st West of East Campus, and on the BMF floor of Random Hall. While the laundry there was great, I soon fell in love with the wonderful co-ed independent living group Epsilon Theta, and spent two happy years in a big beautiful yellow house. Now I live with two other Thetan alumnae in an apartment near campus, learning to cook tasty Indian dishes. Home | Personal | Fun Physics | Marvelous Math | Other Stuff |
