Investigating the immunological response resulting from naked antibody therapies against tumors

Naked antibody therapies targeting tumor antigens have shown great clinical efficacy in treating tumors, but the underlying immunological mechanisms for their anti-tumor action remain unclear, resulting from a complex series of effector mechanisms. Recent evidence suggests that these antibody therapies can generate an anti-tumor immune response that requires both the innate and adaptive immune system, potentially leading to long-term tumor protection. We hope to elucidate the temporal mechanisms involved in the anti-tumor immune response triggered by naked antibody therapies and exploit this to develop more effective and consistent antibody treatments against tumors.
