If you are a software developer writing Kerberos applications or modifying Kerberos, you may find the krbdev mailing list useful. There are additional mailing lists available as community resources.

If you are investing substantial software development resources into Kerberos, please consider joining the Kerberos Consortium to gain the benefits of active participation and cooperation with other interested organizations.

If you are interested in making changes or extensions to the Kerberos protocol, several Working Groups of the IETF are the correct places to have these discussions. The Kerberos Working Group works on the core Kerberos protocol, as well as directly-related protocols. The Common Authentication Technologies NG ("Kitten") Working Group works on the GSS-API.

Eventually, this page will contain additional information about coding standards and procedures, to make it easier for contributors to donate their work back to MIT.
