I am a philosophy graduate student at MIT. Before coming to MIT I was an undergraduate at Harvard College. And before that I was a lesser-known ordinary language philosopher. The photo at right is an artifact of this period. It was taken in rural Oxfordshire during a discussion about the nuances of the word 'endocrine' between Geoffrey Warnock (far left), John Austin (standing; looking away in disgust), Gilbert Ryle (grazing), Paul Grice (asleep), and myself (kneeling).
