The Couchdesk

Trying to maximize the space in a typical college dorm room (November 2001), John Bartocci and I came up with an idea; the couchdesk. In particular, we wanted to be able to have both more desk space and lounge-like seating. I made a 3-D model in Autodesk Inventor of our idea, and in January of 2002, John Bartocci, Nickolai Zeldovich and I began construction. Three months later we finished the fully working prototype.
