YOUR SITE IN IMAGES AND WORDS: A PHOTO BOOK

Create an essay of images and words which conveys the discoveries you made in your research this semester as revealed through your fieldwork, photographs (single, pairs, and sequences), and writing (journals). The narrative may be linear or nonlinear, simple or complex. The essay must include words, though it is up to you how much text to include and how.

Storyboard draft of essay due at conferences with individual students, April 9-10.

To prepare for the meeting, post all your photos to your Miro board. Create a storyboard for your essay of images and words. The storyboard should be a rough draft of your essay. Include duplicates of the photos in your storyboard with the rest of your photos. We will review the storyboard, then look at all the images and discuss what we find there before returning to the storyboard.

Draft of Web essay due online in conferences April 23-24.

To prepare for the meeting, complete a draft of the online version of your photo essay of images and words. The purpose of the meeting is to fine tune the essay.

Final Photo Essay due online by 8AM Monday, April 29

May 1: Presentation and discussion of photo book essays.
