Map and Direction to the Lab
We suggest that you either take a cab or public transportation to MIT. If you prefer
to drive, please note that parking at the Marriott is recommended since finding a
space in this area is difficult. Once you've parked, walk across the lobby and exit
to the courtyard side of the hotel. Walk directly across Main Street and then go
straight about 100 yards to 45 Carleton Street. This is Bldg E25, the Whitaker College
Bldg.
Public Transportation
Take the red line to the Kendall Square/MIT Stop. You will come
out of the station into a small courtyard with benches on either side. Walk through
this courtyard. Enter the first building on your right hand side (it has a large ramp
and a set of revolving doors) this is E25. There will be a staircase directly in front
of you and a set of elevators to your right. Take either of these up to the 3rd floor.
Upon exiting the stairs/elevator, take a left and continue down the hall. Room 342
is towards the end of the hall on the right hand side.
From the Airport
Take the tunnel (not the Ted Williams Tunnel) to Boston, take route
93N and take the exit for Storrow Drive. Once on Storrow Drive, take the exit for
Kendall Square, Cambridge (left hand exit). Take a right over the bridge to Cambridge.
Go through one traffic light. You will pass the Marriott Hotel on your left. At the
next traffic light go left and take another left at the following light. Take your
right first right onto Dock Street, follow this street until you come to 45 Carleton
Street.
From the Mass Pike
Take the Cambridge exit, go through 2 traffic lights (very close
together) and go over the Charles River. At the next traffic light, turn right onto
Memorial Drive. The river will now be on your right. Travel a few miles (past the
Hyatt Hotel on your left, under Mass Ave, and past the tennis courts on your left).
After the tennis courts, take a left across Memorial Drive and a left again and then
your 2nd right onto Carleton Street. # 45 is on the left at the end of the street.
If you need to park, continue on Carleton Street and take a left (even though there
is a "no left turn") onto Main Street and take a right at the traffic light and a right
again at the next light. The Marriott Garage is on the right. |
