"Origami Full of Life" (sometimes translated as "Origami Masterworks") is a marvelous book showcasing Master Yoshizawa's creations. The book is artfully printed, with a few pages of color photographs at the beginning, and then black and white photos of the models, with simple line drawing diagrams, accompanying them throughout the rest of the book.
Experienced folders who are fans of his work surely already own this lovely book; if you're completely new to origami, I might suggest starting somewhere else, as these models, while none of them particularly complex, often rely on "judgement folds" (folds with no obvious landmarks) and subtle creasing techniques to get them to come out well. If you haven't seen much of Master Yoshizawa's works, but have been starting to experiment with wet-folding, and are interested in models that make use of soft creases, suggestion of form rather than detailed representation, and provide a great vehicle for experimenting with mass and gesture in origami models, then I think you'll find this book both challenging and rewarding.
Of particular interest to non-Japanese-literate owners of this book are these translations of the three sections of the book's Appendix. These are a short description of Master Yoshizawa's techniques for paper preparation, his thoughts on how to approach folding, and an overview of the traditional Japanese method for backcoating paper (gluing two thin sheets together to create a thicker sheet for, in this case, folding.)
Unless noted, all models are from one piece of square paper.
