Past Events Finnegan Henderson Law Panel MIT Law Club invited attorneys from one
of the club's sponsoring firms, Finnegan Henderson, to talk about the challenges
and rewards of practicing in purely the IP space.
Wilmer Hale Law Panel MIT Law Club invited back IP attorneys
from one of the club's sponsoring firms, Wilmer Hale's, to continue discussing
IP trends and opportunities for MIT students to explore careers.

Panel with Harvard Law School Admissions Officer
September 19th, 5pm MIT Law Club
invited Phil Lee, Assistant Director of
Harvard Law School Admissions, to come talk
about the law school admissions process. We hope
to have Mr. Lee back in May to give a similar
talk.
Corporate Law
Panel Wednesday, April 26th, 2006
MIT Law Club invited Gregory Moore from Ropes & Gray and Robert Bishop
from Goodwin Procter to the MIT campus to discuss
the field of corporate law. The panel will focus on how
MIT students can utilize their talents in the field, and
what corporate law firms would like to see from new
associates.

Panel Thursday,
March 2nd, 2006. 6:30PM Room 32-212 MIT Law Club invited Wendy Verlander,
Dave Chavous, Michael Twomey, Mary Rose Scozzafava, John
Golden, and MJ Edwards of WilmerHale to the MIT campus
to discuss their wide range of backgrounds and
expertise. They also described the culture of their law
firm, WilmerHale.
Intellectual Property Law Panel
Thursday, December 6th, 2005. 7PM Room 4-231
MIT Law Club invited Gary Walpert of WilmerHale, John Van
Amsterdam of Wolf Greenfield, Gordon Edwards of Ropes
and Gray, and Chuck Hieken of Fish & Richardson to the
MIT campus to discuss the field of Intellectual Property
law. All of the speakers are MIT alumni. They offered
insight on how they used their MIT background to succeed
as intellectual property attorneys. |
