FACTOIDS OF THE MONTH: California miscegenation case and Alabama constitutional amendment

A. The 1948 California Supreme Court decision (Perez v. Sharp) striking down
the state ban on inter-racial marriage was decided by a 4-3 vote, just like Goodridge. At the time, 90% of Americans opposed inter-racial marriage.
