- Plug the PC into the UPS.
- Connect the PC's serial port to the UPS with a special cable.
- Run powerd on the PC.
- Setup your initd to do something reasonable on powerfail and
powerok events (like start a shutdown and kill any currently
running shutdowns, respectively, for example).
