Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She enjoys trying ethnic foods (except maybe REALLY SPICY Nigerian) and baked five different types of pastries in one day during quarantine on multiple occasions. She has at some point sailed, shot air pistols, done archery and fencing, but will not get a Pirate License. She also plays the piano with Chamber Music Society.
Melissa is Course 3 and 6-2 (but NEVER 6-3) and she is from New York (not the city but not upstate either). She loves to play soccer, run, ski, hike, eat, and do sustainability-related things. Melissa is the only undergrad french member of French house. She wears crocs, sleeps at least 8 hours every night, is vegetarian, and thinks that she is paying way too much for college. After spending (half of) a semester on Friday cookteam, she recently convinced her mother to purchase a cabbage.
helloooo, I'm Fiona! I'm a course 10b but I was previously thinking about course 20. The reason why I ended with course 10 is because its also called course x, which is objectively cooler than course 20. While I currently live in French house, I have also previously called new vassar, next house, and Connecticut home! Here at MIT, I am involved in EWB, Engineers without Borders, which basically means that we engineer without borders. When I'm not doing school stuff, I binge Netflix and watch movies with one of my favorite movies being shrek. Fun fact: my parents named me after watching this movie in 2001 :D
Nicole has lived in French House officially since the middle of sophomore spring, but unofficially for a while longer. During her time here, she has enjoyed cooking delicious menus with her cook team, having unexpected and occasionally insightful conversations past midnight, and enthusiastically caring for her many plants that line the kitchen windowsill. Outside of the house, she likes dancing and choreographing in too many dance groups, going on long walks, and sailing so zealously that she ends up swimming in the Charles.
Ivy is a 6-2 from Missouri, but you'll probably assume that she's from somewhere less corn-field-y when you first meet her. She hates hot weather (>70 F) and will convince you that you don’t need a jacket when you actually do. She also has a habit of making unnecessary spreadsheets and tries to convince everyone to open an IRA/get their first credit card ASAP.
Hi friends! I am Yiming, a junior in course 18C and minoring in design! I love painting, playing a traditional Chinese instrument called Guzheng, listening to audiobooks, and consuming copious amounts of fruit.
Hi guys! I'm Lingyi, a junior from California majoring in 2A-4B (design). Outside of school I like to play my ukulele, go on photography shoots, and playing any kind of sport that I can find a court for (>.<)
Clara is a course 8 and 21S, aka a backdoor triple major because she couldn’t choose between physics, math, and music. It’s, like, only a little bit painful. Her plants are named Freddy I, III, IV, and V after the greatest composer of all time (Chopin) (RIP Freddy II)

Hi, I'm Christy! I'm from Brooklyn, NY and I'm majoring in course 2A-4 (but don't ask me what I want to do with my degree after I graduate because I will dump an existential crisis on you) When you interact with me I'm usually either super bubbly and talkative or dead on the inside; there is no in between. When I'm not hosed I like to work out, go thrifting, draw, embroider, read, and watch too many YouTube videos at a time.
Penny is from Daqing/Singapore and in her free time she tries at least one different club per semester and never stuck to any one of them for more than 2 semesters.
Anushree (she/her) is a '24 from San Diego, CA majoring in Course 11 and 14 (previously Course 1 and 3 - aka an expert on changing majors) and interested in social impact and environmental policy. She recently immigrated to French House as a social member and was graciously granted dual citizenship from New House 4 and LMF. On campus, she's involved with a lot of sustainability orgs, an institute committee, Greek life, and the ultimate frisbee team! She loves, in no particular order: reading, writing, singing, photography, cooking and baking plant-based dishes, earth tones, outdoorsy things, rambling to people she's just met, thrifting, sunset walks with her dog, and traveling.
