It is very important to note that to contact police, ambulance, and fire on campus, dial 100 from campus phones or 617-253-1212 from all other phones. It is strongly recommended that you program 617-253-1212 into your cell phone.

MIT Mental Health and Counseling For urgent issues, a mental health clinician is on call and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services are available to MIT students, faculty, staff, employees, and family members.

MIT's International SOS Program Portal

MIT has contracted with the travel assistance company, International SOS, to provide emergency medical and security evacuation services to faculty, staff, and students who are travelling abroad on MIT business. International SOS has 24-hour alarm centers, international clinics, and remote-site medical facilities covering five continents.

MIT Emergency Response Guide

A step-by-step guide to responding to incidents, designed to be posted in a easily accessible place, and with spaces alloted for aditional contacts and work area-specific procedures. Provides procedures for:

  • skin contact with radiological, chemical, or biological materials
  • critical laboratory incidents
