Conference: Oct. 8-10, 1999 To mark the launch of the Comparative Media Studies graduate program and also to mark the conclusion of the Markle Foundation-funded project whose name is that of this web site (as well as our conference title), we invite papers on the theme of "Media in Transition." The conference will include plenary forums and a series of smaller presentations on specific topics.
