Statement: Nitzana is a non-profit organization building
a pluristic educational community around studies of the sun and desert
environment. All donations are tax-deductible through the Jewish
Agency.

| Educational
Solar Park |
Nitzana
is building an 20 dunham open-space park, featuring hands-on exhibits
and a natural context to explore the connection of the sun to the
scientific, historical, and cultural development of the dessert. This
project will be the first of its kind. |
This
$4 million project has the seed money to begin construction n April
2002. We are looking for additional funding to finish the park by
2005. The Israeli government is currently being approached to supply
matching funds for this project. |
| Bedouin
Community Leaders |
Nitzana
currently trains and employs young Israelis to teach and lead environmental
programs on site. We are looking to expand this program to Bedouin
communities in the Negev. This underserved population is looking to
train its youth in similar community development projects. |
This
project will partner with partner with community center in Tel Sheva.
We are looking for funding for this project to begin in 2002. |

Equipment Donations |
Nitzana
is looking for donations of scientific equipment and/or computer equipment
that might aid in our academic programs. |
Sacta-Rashi
is currently donating such equipment. We welcome any new partners
in this area. |
| Facilities
|
Nitzana
has several improvement projects in the making. We are currently looking
to fund the building of a solar-powered swimming pool cover. |
