Overview:
The
Sun and Science Program offers 2-5 day educational seminars to
students ages 12-18. These seminars give students "hands-on"
activities demonstrating how the sun is the central link between
the desert environment and various scientific phenomena. These
activities may include solar energy studies, sand dune exploration,
natural materials building, wildlife observation, principles of
astronomy,and photosynthesis, physiology, and optics, laboratories.
