A giant gold medal with "Torino 2006" written on the red ribbon appeared on the Great Dome of MIT, site of numerous hacks.
Valentino Castellani, President of the Torino Olympic Committee (TOROC), and former Mayor of Torino, attended MIT in 1965, and earned a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS).
