Quality of dope

• Dope is a mixture of various chemicals.

• The more uniform the concentrations of the chemicals in the mixture, the better the quality of dope.

• There are currently large fluctuations in the concentrations.

• Consequences of the fluctuations in concentrations

  • Variability in sheet thickness
  • Poor coating adhesion

• Goal of the project: A tool to help develop strategies to eliminate the fluctuations in concentrations.
