The Nerdiness of MIT Football

So I just got back from our home game today, against the Nichols College Bison. Yeah, I'd never heard of Nichols College either. Anyway, despite the threat of rain earlier in the day, the marching band played on. And I thought I'd share a few of the most memorable moments from today's game:

After scoring the first touchdown:
Matt: What? We're losing by negative six?

Around halftime, when we were losing 12-20:
Caroline: We have more sig figs than they do!

Third quarter, we did the Massachusetts Institute of Technology cheer, and while we were doing it, the Bison scored again:
Michael: It seems the absolute value of our lead went up.

Then we were trying to decide whether the male cheerleader that does backflips could do anything else cool. Some suggestions were "Triple axle!" and "Double backflip!" but Ken had a different idea:
Ken: Integrate! Integrate!

And randomly:
Michael: What's this? What's this? The ref seems to be signing "pirate." What do we do?

Anyway, I think a good time was had by all, though it was a very long game. And there were a number of strange penalties and injuries. So maybe a good time wasn't had by all. At least not the people who got injured.

That's my story for today. Oh, and I've decided not to attend the "Anything But Clothes" party after all. For one thing, pretty much no one I know is going. Secondly, I have a shitload of work to do. Third, I've had enough excitement for today, and the trek over there really isn't worth it...however, I might just head over to ADP and hang out with the guys there. Maybe bring some homework over there or something. :P
