YAZ stands for Yet Another Z39.50 Toolkit and is the only free toolkit for working with Z39.50 servers. It is from a danish company called Indexdata.
Net::Z3950 is a perl module that uses the YAZ toolkit.
Previous version of Thokbook used YAZ to query library servers and retrieve MARC records from them.
