Been running around much too much lately. Just stupid work stuff. Repeated flights to Minnesota to visit a "converting line", my project for the past two years. We are now in a new phase, the machine is now here in Vacaville, CA. Anyway, this isn't interesting.
Somehow I got the strange idea to go back to school while working full time. Not being the most studious individual I was intimidated to go to a REAL school. So I'm at University of Phoenix (Sacramento) for an MBA, specializing in Global Management. My goal is to find a job that allows me to travel the world with my wife, meeting interesting people alnong the way. We'll see what that looks like. Surprisingly to me, I'm starting to look at things in my everyday life and I'm figuring out the business model being used, and thinking of possible moels for things I'm actually intersted in. (Drugs is not quite doing it for me, though for the moment it pays the bills. Um, that's like pharmaceutical drugs - I work for J&J.) Like music, church stuff, and other things I could make others do while I collect the money. I've never been like this before, but I feel like I woke up to something that was there all the time. Anyway, this is only moderately intersting.
Heather, my wife, is also attending UoP to complete her Bachelor's degree. She's still deciding what whe wants to be when she grows up (as am I). She's going for Criminal Justice Administration (a popular field these days). Bethany will start her SENIOR YEAR next week (Ugh! SHE sure is getting OLD!). She's aspiring to a musical theater career. (This could put a cramp in my travel the world plan - money!) In high school she's also getting familiar with TV broacasting, video production and editing, and many of the behind the scenes jobs of the entertainment industry. We'll call those things Plan B. Scary.
All are healthy and reasonably happy in the Dillon household. I hope all is well with you all as well.
If you're ever in the vicinity, give us a call. I saw Sam LaFontaine last year when I visited NJ for work. That was pretty cool. Anyway, Peace to all!
