I now have three daughters, Yael (age 3), Hadass (age 2), and Dafna (2 months). They are all wonderful. As in my last report, I am back to low-sleep mode. Dafna has slept through the night a few times, and will hopefully start to do so more regularly. It was nice to see Marc, Sam, and Joe Zahavi at Dafna's naming. Dafna is named after my Mother, who passed away in May 2005 after battling her disease for 4 years. I appreciated Duddy making a shiva call just days after his second son was born. She managed to have pretty good quality-of-life during her fight, and we moved her to Massachusetts in December 2004 so that we could spend more time with her.
On the professional front, I joined a startup technology & business consulting company called Ascend in 2004 which has grown quite a bit since I joined. I did not intend to be full-time billable but, as a small company trying to grow quickly, I am full-time billable in addition to my internal management responsibilities. I spent weekdays for a year and change in Manhattan consulting to Citigroup and helping build our NY office. I am now consulting to Citizens Bank in Warwick, RI. I am also back to low-sports mode since I do not have time/energy given my work, travel/commute, and kids schedules. Basketball is on hold, but I do play golf occasionally and am looking forward to playing a lot on our upcoming week in Westerly, RI at the end of this month.
We bought a house in Framingham last summer and are are all enjoying the extra space. Visitors are welcome!
