News from Keith Paquette

Greetings from our new home in Virginia.

Since the last news letter there have been quite a few changes. I transferred to Orbital's Space System Group in Virginia in March of this year. We decided that it was time to move back closer to our families. Lori and the boys joined me out here at the end of May. Erin is attending Arizona State University so she's staying in Arizona. Usually the kids go away to college, but in our case it was the family that left. It's kind of hard when your first child leaves the nest, but it's a necessary part of growing up. Erin's pursuing a major in philosophy and literature (all the advice to go into engineering didn't work). Erin just got engaged and we're very happy for her and her fiancé. His name is Dustin (we all call him Ducky) and he's a great guy. They haven't set a date yet, but plan on waiting a while.

We like living in Virginia, it's so much greener than Arizona. We found a nice house in Manassas which is about an hour from Washington DC and about a half hour from my job. The boys have only known what its like to live in Arizona so they're having fun learning about the differences here on the East Coast. Daniel just turned 15 and will be starting High School this year. Over the last two years he's really grown. He's about 6' 3" and towers over me. He's a big help with all the household chores involved in moving into a new home. Daniel's very interested in computers and recently built his own computer. He hopes to get into video game development and computer graphics.

Christopher is now 6 years old and will be starting first grade this year. The move and Erin staying in Arizona have been rough on him, but he is very excited to be in Virginia. Christopher is very much into knights. Knights have always interested him since he was very young. He loves playing with his castles and knights as well as his sword and shield. It's hard for him having a brother and sister so much older than him. We hope he'll make some new friends in the neighborhood and in school.

Lori and I are doing well. We've been very busy settling into our new home and getting acclimated to the area. Taking care of the boys keeps Lori pretty busy. This school year will be the first time that all our children will be in school full time so Lori looks forward to having more free time.

That's pretty much all that's happening here. I hope all is going well with you and your families. Take care.

Sincerely,

Keith Paquette
