Lodz, 7 October 1934 Dear cousin, Sol Zissman, I read your regards to me in daddy's letter and, even more, understood what you wrote me, dear cousin, about understanding my father better, attempting to learn from him, and coming to an agreement with him. So, I can say that I do (try to) come to an agreement with my dear father in every respect. However, dear cousin, you must also understand that when preparing for a life's career is involved, then my dear father is also powerless. Even though my dear father would like to provide the best for me, the times are so unfavorable that it's difficult to achieve anything. Hoping that in my next letter I'll have something of significance to report to you, I send heartfelt and loving regards to you, your wife, and dear son, Leonard.
