     Tolstoy roared, disrupting Myce's conversation with Angel and
Tali.  She opened the door to the cabin and raced out.  Tolstoy was
pinning Arturo up against the gunwhale.
     "What's going on?"  Myce Elf ran around the corner and came up
beside Tolstoy.
        Arturo looked at her and shrugged, further enraging the
giant cat. Tolstoy raised a giant paw, razor sharp talons poised and
ready to slash the rag tag street child.  Tolstoy roared again,
fangs mere inches away from Arturo's face.
        Myce placed a restraining hand on the huge beast. Her
little hand appeared so small against his leg, but Tolstoy backed
down.  He issued a final roar, turned quickly and went to Myce's
cabin.

        "Arturo, I know that you can't speak.  I wanted to thank
you for your assistance in Dragon's Tooth.  You probably don't want
to be here, on the DarkWind.  I will let you off at the next port of
call unless you indicate otherwise.  I wish that I could understand
you, and I wish I knew what you were doing to upset Tolstoy so."
Myce Elf shrugged, and took the child's hand.  "If you want to stay,
let me know.  You are welcome here, to participate in whatever
adventures we may have."
