"We've got to find her friends." Catwoman indicated the unicorn riding lady. "How about answering some questions?" Robin asked, his eyes held a suspicous gleam Catwoman didn't like. "What kind of questions?" "Like how did you know they were impersonators we were fighting? And how do you know where the *real* werewolf and magic user are?" Catwoman glared at Robin, then Batman spoke. "Robin does have a point. You never mentioned how you became involved with this. You'd better start talking." "Or what?" "Or I'm sure we can have the unicorn transport you to the swamp land again." "Alright," Catwoman sighed, "you won this round. After I escaped from the vet's, I set up to take my revenge out on you. Since you're as easy to find as a flea, I knew I would have to bring your attention to me. I knew just the place and the job. I was on the fire escape when this gush of wind blew by me..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~start of flashback~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I crouched against the cold metal preparing to jump to the window of the jewelry store. There was a jade cat in there I had my eye on for quite some time. I figured now would be a good time to get it. Then this rough wind blew against me, flattening me against the metal. I looked down and I saw this strange circle of light. It wasn't a harsh light, but one you could look into, it looked like a tunnel. Two figures walked through it. One was huge and covered with fur, obviously male. The other was smaller and more agile, again, male. They were speaking to something from inside the tunnel. "This fur itches," the furry one complained. "It's the fleas," the smaller one said. "Silence you two," came the voice from inside the tunnel. "You know what you're supposed to do." "Right," the furry one grinned showing it's canines. "Grab the werewolfess and the magic user." "Very good. What else?" "Watch out for the unicorn and the lady." "Yes. Good. Once you've found them what are you supposed to do?" The two beings looked at one another. "Fools!" the voice raged. "Activate the worm hold and bring them to me so I can finally go to the Magical Creatures Convention. For two thousand centuries I've wanted to go to the Magical Creatures Convention, but those four have always insisted to the board of trustess that I'm not magical enough. Well *this* year they won't be around to talk to the board of trustees and I will finally go to the Magical Creatures Convention and claim the throne." I heard an evil laugh come from the worm hole. "Now go get them and this time, don't forget what your supposed to do." "But how do we find them?" "I turned you into a werewolf so sniff them out. I've also created some diversions just in case someone wants to stick his or her nose into this affair." The worm hole vanished and the werewolf and small figure ran away into the night. I thought it might be worth my while to follow them and so I did. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~end of flashback~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Holy BS," Robin said. "You don't honestly expect us to believe that story, do you?" Batman asked. "But it's true," protested Catwoman. *She's right,* a voice entered everyone's head. *I've scanned this cat person's memories and what she says did happen.* "You did WHAT?" *Don't worry cat person, I only scanned what I needed, I left the rest alone. Though it did seem to be interesting...* *Keep it to yourself,* Catwoman thought back at the unicorn. "Any idea of where they are going?" the Lady asked. "No," Catwoman answered. "I was following them when I ran into all of you." Batman took a device from his utility belt and grabbed some fur of his outfit. "What are you doing, Batman?" Robin asked. "This fur is from the werewolf we ran into. I'm going to use my personal tracker and see if I can't track the werewolf based on it's fur." Batman placed the fur into a small cartridge. Lights lit up on the hand held device. He started pointing the device around him until one of the lights turned green. "The werewolf is that way," Batman pointed to a dark alley. "Well what are we waiting for?" the Lady asked as they just stood there staring at the place. "But, Batman, that's..." "I know, Robin, the Joker's hideout." .......to be continued....... ________________________________ | Catwoman's Window Sill | |________________________________| |WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW| | \ * \ \ || \ \ * \ | | \ \* \|| \ * \ \ | |_______________||_______________| |_______________ _______________| | \ @@@@@@@ * || * A~A \ | | \ @@@@@ \ ||\ {'o'} \ | | * \|/ \ || \ { Y } * | |______(_)______||_____{#_#}_____| |________________________________| | http://catwoman.simplenet.com/ | |________________________________|
