She looked into his eyes as she lay in his arms five feet or so off the ground. Cat Woman didn't want to appear mushy or romantic, which was her strong inclination, so she fought off the urge to wrap her arms around him and move in a bit closer. She had her reputation to maintain. She couldn't allow for rumors of softness on her part. "Uh, excuse me, Bat Man," she tried to maintain. "Uh, you can let go of me now." "Oh, quite right dear lady," Bat Man replied. "There you go." He sat her down gently. "Holy Fourth of July, Bat Man," Robin said, "what was that? It seemed to rock the entire block." "The answer to that question, my dear boy, surely rests with the likes of Joker and the Riddler. And I'm sure Two-Face is right in the middle of it. There's no time to waste. We must invade the Joker's headquarters immediately." The Caped Crusader began to lead the way into the darkest part of the alley, the area that led to the Joker's hideout. But he stopped suddenly as the Riddler's car appeared suddenly, as it had before, this time returning from that dark section, and with the Joker in tow. They sped through the alley and wheeled onto Robin Road, gone in a matter of seconds. "Holy getaway car." "You said it, Robin. To the Bat Mobile," Bat man said. He then stuttered, "Uh, its back on that country road, disabled. Uh, I knew that. I was just testing. We must stay on our toes and a good test now and then will help us do that, you see." A hiss emerged from Cat Woman's throat as she looked around, apparently searching for something in particular. "My dear, may I ask what you look for?" Bat Man said. "Perhaps, if it will help our mission, we could all look together." "The Catvertible. My car. I *think* I parked it near this very alley on my last heist, uh, my last shopping spree. I seldom use it and I lose it all the time. But its around here somewhere." "Holy transportation, Bat Man. Now we'll catch those fiendish scoundrels." --to be continued-- --------------------- Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary over many a quaint and curious volume of E-MAIL while I nodded nearly napping I realized sumpin was hap'nin My computer began tapping, sorta rapping, rapping like it never did before Tis some virus entreating entrance to my hard drive's store Some late-night virus entreating entrance to my hard drive's store Will I e-mail nevermore?
