"They are headed into an area that may bring about the ultimate doomsday. You see, they. . ." Robin paused, looking at the Unicorn, then back to the Lady steering it. "Lady on the Unicorn couldn't be your name, I mean you are so beautiful, and. . . Please tell me your name." "Why thank you dear boy, you aren't so bad yourself. But I'm old enough to be your mom, but then again, I've always liked younger men, and you look so cute in those tights. My name is Alice." "Ummm, nice name. Alice. It kind of rolls off the tounge and lingers at the edge of my lips, making me want to place those lips on yours and . . ." Robin's romantic ways were suddenly cut short as the Unicorn stopped cold in its gallop, to avoid a thundering 18-wheeler that missed them by an inch. The sudden stop through the two riders off, onto the pavement beside the Unicorn, and immediately next to the plowing wheels of the large truck. "Holy close call, Bat, uh, I mean...Alice," Robin sat on the pavement, mesmerized by the eyes of Alice. He simply sat and gazed. Alice gazed too. *Calling all super heros and such* the Unicorn's voice sounded in their heads. *I do believe the world is about to be lost and other various pressing matters are at hand. Could you two take this up a bit later, if there is a 'later'* "Ohhh, what? What was that?" Robin asked. "Ummm, you have such nice, sweet blue eyes," Alice said. Meanwhile Bat Man and Cat Woman wheeled onto Thrasher Blvd in speedy pursuit of the Joker and Riddler. "My dear, dear, dear lady," Bat Man said, gripping Cat Woman's hand tenderly yet firmly. "This may be our last hour on earth. There may be no more." "Yes, Bat Man," Cat Woman said. "An hour from now, we may not exist." She put her free hand on his cheek. "Oh Cat Woman," Bat Man said. "Oh Bat Man," Cat Woman said. The two lovers' sentiments were coldly disturbed by the sudden crash of the Bat Mobile smashing into the main window at Margaret's Department Store. The Riddler and Joker, meanwhile had turned the corner and were quickly disappering in the distance. "My, my, what was that?" Bat Man asked. "I think we may have had a wreck or something," Cat Woman pointed out. "Oh," Bat Man said. "Yes, some kind of wreck," Cat Woman said. "That's all." "Do you think we should chase those bad people, what were their names?" Bat Man said. "I don't know, what do you think, darling?" Cat Woman asked. "Whatever my little, kitty witty wants," Bat Man smiled. "Ohhh, darling, no, whatever my big, strong Bat Fella wants," Cat Woman stated. "Ohhh, no I insist, you tell me my dear, what you would like," Bat Man reiterated. "Oh, I don't know. What was the hurry anayway. What crime was it they were engaged in? We can worry about all that later, my dear." "Yes, my sweetie," Bat Man grinned. "Oh, Bat Man," Cat Woman purrred. --to be continued-- --------------------- Once upon a time there was a police detective He was hot on the trail of the culprits He searched out all the clues He stopped to take a look at the Writers list And found lots and lots of clues there Most of the pertinent ones Were in one dark corner But none of them added up He became confused He filed his report The Captain couldn't make heads or tails of the report -- End of Part One -- Part Two Coming March 3rd
