I have been enjoying a lot of your poems and comments, so I decided muster up some courage to introduce myself. I am called The Blue Rose, because of a poem I wrote 2 years ago. It's a long story about how I came to write it but, briefly, it was inspired by the movie "Legend", and my first course in spiritual healing (Reiki). Since then, Blue Roses has become a symbol of Unconditional Love and Unselfish Healing. I have included the poem in this post, so you can see what the poem, and I, are all about. I joined this group to see what others write and to learn more about poetry and writing, in general, and so far, I have not been disappointed. One more thing. I also write and edit for an on-line E-zine called The CBStar on America On Line. It's a New Age Magazine, but my columns are more liberal, dealing with many aspects of individual creativity (poetry, stories, photography, etc). (If you want more info, e-mail me privately). And now, my poem: BLUE ROSES We are that rare flower That blooms in daylight and darkness All summer - all winter Watered by our own tears Thriving on the light of love We are a fragile thing A singular beauty, indeed; We are the legends that live Within and without you. With patience You will see us Concealed in the shadows; With perseverance You will hear us Whispering your names in the night Calling you home To us. Because we are so few Observe carefully - Pay attention For we are near Watching out for you Waiting for the chance to be noticed. And when you have awakened to us, Embrace us in the garden of your life So that we may grow together Under the sun and moon As one creation complete. Trust us Believe in us; We believe in you (c) 1995 Carpe Diem, Diane (Rev.
