Was I supposed to introduce myself before I started posting my junk all
over your mailing list?  It's a little late, but here's my bio.

My name is Kate.  I eat too much candy, I love my dog, I think we should
use more nuclear energy.  I flunked out of electrical engineering school
because my first love is writing and I could not, just COULD NOT see myself
doing differential equations all my life when really all I wanted to do was
write.  Engineering was "something to fall back on".  Now I'm swimming
without a lifeguard, so to speak.

I've written 3 novels.  The first one I burned when my dad died- I have no
idea why other than it was a suitably nutty thing to do at the time.  The
second was awful and just last week I erased it off my hard drive.  The
third is my baby, called Over the Wires which I was an email novel and is
now being reshaped to fit the accepted American format of novels.   And I
am writing another concurrently called Bombtown.  And I scribble poems,
none of which I am likely to post, and I write micro-stories.

Other Fun Facts:

*I am 25 years old.  Married, have a baby.
*My favorite beer is Young's Oatmeal Stout.
*I lived in London for a year and was too scared to leave my room so all I
saw was Kinsington Church Street from my window.
*I believe that everything is dangerous if you're stupid.
*This one is a secret: I don't always "push out the jive and pull in the
love" like I wish I did.

Anything else you want to know, you're gonna have to hold me down and
tickle me for it.
