Subject:      INTRO:  Just joined . . .   Hello.

Without restating my subject line,  I've been on this list for a few days
and I love it!  I got the list name off of a web page (I think; the page
gave a global address and when I subscribed to that, the nice computer
told me that there were more than one WRITERS list.  So I subscribed to
both, and this one seems a lot more fun.  Anyway ; )

        BIO junk:  My name is John Cattley (like you couldn't tell from
the address!  I do get more creative, trust me:), and I have admit now to
having practically zero writing experience; if this list doesn't take
wanna-be's then I'll just have to signoff or shut up or something : )   I
live in western PA, outside of Pittsburgh, and I'm a student.  Christian,
Trekker, love Anne McCaffrey's _The Dragonriders of Pern_ books.  Play
guitar.   If you want to know anything else, just ask.

        Some thoughts on a couple threads I've been watching:

        --The dialect issue.  I think it's fun to read.  I'd miss it if
you guys (and gals!) stopped.
        --The infamous Ode <g>.  Seriously, I liked Wes's cyote story
better.  And I'll agree that its good to be offended once in a while; it
makes you think once you've cooled off.
        This did turn out to be a bit more of an intro than I'd planned,
so I'll end it before I hear you screaming to shut up. <g>
