Date: Thu, 9 Jan 1997 10:35:09 -0500 From: Liam Cadegan Subject: BIO: A Long Way Home I used to hang out here, but I haven't been around since mid '95. I was seeking gainful employment for a while, and then I had to cope with settling into a new job. It was a long personal struggle, one that took me a long way from where I wanted to be. On the way I picked up a few lessons, difficult, painful, but ultimately peaceful metaphysical lessons. The details are less important than that I am back where I am supposed to be. Fortunately for me, it's also where I want to be at the moment as well. Here is who I was before I started through the last 18 months. Personal Mission Statement: Liam J. Cadegan Jesus Christ is the center of my life: everything I am, everything I do, depends on Him. I am here to love--God, myself, and others. Out of my belief comes my commitment as spouse and father. My wife and children are the primary objects of the love I find in relationship with God. In loving them, I create with them an ordered family where we are safe to share our feelings, to explore goals together, to support each other in our separate concerns, and learn to be effective people. As my focus moves outward to friends and church, the love of God and my family brims over, and I am open, consistent, and dependable. Love motivates my work. I want others to know what living an efficient, principle-centered life can be like. I teach first by example. Then, to my knowledge of efficiency and effectiveness, I bring love, which makes what can be a sterile and routine existence vibrant and purposeful. More BIO I lived into some of the previous statment, and I am in the process of revising other parts. Expect to see that as an addition to my BIO relatively soon.
