Date: Wed, 19 Feb 1997 21:21:27 -0800 From: Bonnie Lind Subject: my virgin message Hi there. I'm making my first attempt to join this family of writers on cyberspace. My name is Bonnie Lind, and I can be reached at lind@goldrush.com. I'm not new to writing, but I haven't seriously written imaginative literature for quite some time. Now I am working on a piece and am having success breaking down the blocks through suggestions in The Artists Way. I'm relatively intimidated by this electronic group process and sharing any new work so I may end up posting some older poems to ease myself in. Strange to feel shy sitting at my computer, but then I picture the rest of you sitting at yours and the demon critics return. In terms of writing bio stuff, I am the editor of a regional magazine, have had several plays produced by regional theatre companies and have had short stories and poetry published, also on a regional basis. Years ago, I worked with a New York literary agent on a long novel, but I had to stop that process and "work for a living." I write all the time, but lately it has been report and grant writing in my role as a Family Literacy Program Director, and tourist-interest, local color articles for the magazine mentioned above. I feel like I've lost my lyrical voice, and this is what I'm hoping to recover. So that's enough for me. If I can figure out how to get this message to all of you, I'll have accomplished my goal for the evening. Night.
