I wasn't sure what this group was like and I'd already made two mistakes! So, here it is if anyone is interested. For four plus years I've been the editor and publisher of Writer's News, a 10 page monthly newsletter which offers markets, tips, and news of the publishing world. I'm the author of TAX TIPS FOR WRITERS which tells those of us who write how to prove we are in the profession even if we don't make a dime, what we can deduct, and how to deduct it. I know because I am a retired IRS Agent and worked 20 years in public accounting. I'm also the author of PRISONERS IN PETTICOATS, a slice of history that Harvard U. seems to like, among others. I've written nine novels that no one wants as yet, have several hundred credits to my name, fiction and nonfiction, am a book reviewer, and have been for many years a very reasonable editor for those who are looking for someone to trust. I also give workshops at writer's conferences and meetings. I'm not a poet, but I keep trying. I love to talk with writers, to offer information I've found and compare instances of how and when we break the rules. One of these days I'm going to open a bookstore just for writers if I can find the right location.&nbs p; Southern California is not it. We moved to earthquake country, Southern California, after Mt. St. Helens in Washington spewed forth and destroyed our peaceful home on the Toutle River. If there is any way I can be of help with your writing questions let me know. That includes not grammar and punctuation you learned in school, but what's acceptable in today's publishing world. Just e-mail me. Elizabeth
