Subject: BIO: Victoria Lombari Date: Mon, 28 Oct 1996 09:50:21 -0500 Victoria-Sue Lombari ("Vicki"), a PhD Candidate in Comparative Literature at the University of Arkansas completing her dissertation on the influences of contemporary society and popular culture in contemporary American and German novels, has presented papers at seesions of SCMLA (South Central Modern Language Association) and PAL (Philological Association of Louisiana). She has also done editing and copy-writing work on journal articles, conference papers, and textbooks for the University of Arkansas's Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology. A native of Rhode Island, Ms. Lombari completed her undergraduate degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and has received an MA in English and an MA in Comparative Literature from the University of Arkansas. She writes narrative poetry and short stories in her leisure. She also enjoys gardening, teaching, tutoring, reading "anything" (lately she's been reading mysteries and sci-fi as "fun" reading), and playing with her 3 nephews (in RI) and her 2 nieces (in FL) whenever she gets the opportunity. She also enjoys cooking, and when she is invited to a potluck dinner, people generally expect her to bring eggplant parmesan (which has been called "heavenly" and " wonderfully addictive") but she has also been know to show up with fruit salads, vegetable casseroles, or cucumber sandwiches.
