I am a writer a broadcaster and, with my business partner Nick Russell in Melbourne Australia, I publish a biannual magazine called "African Safari'. Writing is my work my escape and - to me - the greatest gift in the world. I love reading good prose and poetry and my favourite writers are: Elleston Trovor (Bury Him Among Kings) Rider Haggard Frederick Forsyth On the non-fiction front, I've never read better sentence construction than in the books of Richard Nixon. Aside from writing magazine and newspaper stories, I am busy with my first novel which is set in the Zambezi River Valley. When I'm not writing, I have a weekly national radio programme in which I interview the ambassadors based in Harare. My wife, Hope, is of Greek descent but was born on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Bujumburra, capital of Burundi in east Africa. Finally, my hobbies are catching snakes and collecting signatures. This is a wonderfully active list and I look forward to reading the postings and learning from you - the members - across the world. Are there any other listmembers in Africa? Every good wish for success in 1998 and .... keep writing! Geoff in Harare Geoff Hill African Safari Magazine PO Box BE 746 Belvedere Harare Zimbabwe Africa
