The three books I would take with me are:

1.)     The Bible.  I've never read it.  A year would give me time.
2.)     The Hunt For Red October.  I've read it at least 100 times and NEVER get
tired of
        it.  I don't know why, maybe it appeals to the 15 year old boy living in
side
me.
3.)     The Complete Works of Dylan Thomas.  Everything he ever wrote.  I want t
o
        devour each and every word he ever put down.  I want to wrap my mind aro
und
        each phrase and let it invade me, filling me, changing me.  Man, oh, Man
,
        Dylan makes me melt. *sigh*
        And if I had a year, I actually would become the expert I tell my friend
s I
am.
        Sure I can randomly pull a quote out of thin air when called to, but I w
ould
        like to quote from more than the 5 poems I have memorized.
