How does your life change, how does the >list change, and of course how does our life change ("what's in it for me, >eh?") I returned triumphant to my new chambers. As mumble-frotz, I was now to live in the WRITERS mansion for the next year. I carefully set the crown on the satin pillow made especially for it. I lounged across the king size feather-pillowed bed. I closed my eyes and slept. The competition had been tough, but I had beat them all down, literally, I was the only one not limping on stage. Later I woke to the sound of the telephone ringing. It was my publicist, Nancy. "Book signings, parties, charity galas..." the list of events seemed endless. *time passes* It was nearing the end of my reign. I had achieved everything I was supposed to as well as landing major book deals for all my WRITERS cohorts. Ah, me, was it really time for my to crown the next mumble-frotz? I decided to throw a massive party at the mansion. I had a week left, and it would be continuous. And at the end, everyone would get party favors. What could I possibly give away? Aha! A few gigabytes of computer memory and a year's supply of their favorite beverage to each guest. Ah, yes. I know I've nailed a nomination in something... Robyn Alyson
