Subject: [WRITERS] INT: The eMJay good news, bad news? and, as we enter the final week of the emjay campaign (your vote should be in no later than the 13th of December, which looks a lot like next Sunday!), we have several snarling contestants in curmudgeonry (albeit none has bothered to try to define the characteristics of that field, which I tend to think includes some of the "secret heart of gold" notion, or perhaps the misanthropic frustrated teacher -- i.e., although the crust be ever so thick, the result is noble enlightenment?). Most of the other fields are wide-open, although the list procrastinator probably won't be heard from in time :-) Something for those who might like to view with skepticism: consider a good news, bad news announcement. These are usually framed as somewhat comic efforts, often relying on differing views or interpretations of the same event. So, you might provide us with an announcement: The good news is that "many words" Arnold won the writers' list motor fingers award. The bad news is that he's trying to live up to the award... Not very good. I'm sure you can do much better. So tell us about the good news and the bad news in the world of the emjay awards!
