[the old tent doesn't seem to have anything hidden inside... scribbled in the sand near the front are a series of special acclamations, proclaiming until the wind shifts:] Peanut Gallery (jokesters/pranksters on list!) Winner: the jester, Tom Michaels with 50 percent of the vote Also making us yuck a lot are Jeff Hall and Woofess The Golden Shovel Award (best BS'er) The winner, by a half of a vote, is Anthony Dauer. We also put on our waders for Leonard Johnston, Pat Fish, Gene C., and Jeff Hall, but we turn that golden blade over to "Anthony Dauer, hands down winner"! The Soul of the List The only human candidate is tink...although "Lost these days" also showed up in the nominees! (Don't they know that soul is never lost... it may be transformed, even blue, but the law of conservation of soul says there will always be soul in the cosmos. heels, too, but...:-) The Welcome Wagon Award (best welcomer) Winner: Tink? Who Wouldn't You Kick Out of Bed? (Award for Male) The bed has Mat Ward, MWWorthen, and tink...no winners, but it should be interesting seeing what you do with the three of us there! Who Wouldn't You Kick Out of Bed? (Award for Female) Winner: Izzy! (ahuh...and just what are we all doing in this bed?) While we're at it, we'll include Jeannie (midnight)...you know that old saying, four's enough for bridge, but five's a basketball team? Who Would You Most Likely Let Babysit Your Kids? (aka The Barney Award) The nominees include LL Demerle, Raini Madden, Holly K., Judy Ray. Fortunately for the big purple one, there was no winner...so there are no losers! Although one person, concerned about liability issues, suggested that as far as babysitting the kids go, well, "None of you guys"... perhaps indicating that the ladies have potential? Write-in vote: Person who had the worst year midnight [there you have it, the tent collapses, fading into the sandbox, as the cheers resound and various folks try out their new laurel wreaths...] "The friends that have it I do wrong When ever I remake a song Should know what issue is at stake, It is myself that I remake."
