Okay, here's another ending to which you may prepend a story of your
devising...

    When I told the officer why I had been speeding, he gave me a
warning and turned to go, but suddenly stopped.  It was then I
remembered there was a casket in the back.  The officer looked at me
expectantly.
    "It's my husband's."
