I was a bit surprised to see this, since I had the impression that there were quite a few submissions and critiques recently...plus, one of the seminars in the convention I was at last week was all about assessment, with heavy emphasis on the likelihood that impressions are not accurate, so go out and count... since I'm still reading through my backlog, I decided to run a few quick counts. in one folder (12/09 saved), I found (okay, the program, being strict about SUB: etc, found): Total Postings: 154 Submissions: 34 Critiques: 24 Technical: 11 World of Writing: 5 Filler: 37 Exercises: 0 Interactive: 6 maybe that day was a fluke? try the next stack (friday and saturday, I think) Total Postings: 232 Submissions: 41 Critiques: 32 Technical: 7 World of Writing: 4 Filler: 48 Exercises: 0 Interactive: 12 12/08? Total Postings: 156 Submissions: 14 Critiques: 3 Technical: 11 World of Writing: 8 Filler: 17 Exercises: 0 Interactive: 18 12/07 Total Postings: 143 Submissions: 18 Critiques: 7 Technical: 17 World of Writing: 2 Filler: 27 Exercises: 1 Interactive: 10 A little heavy on the filler a few times, but usually quite a mix of sub and critique. and thanks, Anthony, for giving me a little "reality anchor" for the assessment platitudes about the gap between impressions and actual measurement. tink
